Find Yourself By Doing What You Love

Over the past summer, my wife and I got really into the show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Despite what the title might make you think, it’s incredibly self-aware and surprisingly awesome.

We had watched parts of it before and really liked it. But it was only until recently that the last season became available on Netflix.

As I  was watching this show, I saw one of the characters have an important realization.

About life. And love.

A realization I had myself when I came up with the Promise of Philosophy.

I won’t spoil anything for you (again, you should really check it out), but the realization has to do with love and finding yourself.

You see, you can’t really find yourself in romantic love.

You can't find yourself in a romantic partner.

Romantic love is a beautiful, magical part of life. But it’s not all of who you are.

As beautiful as romantic love is, there is SO MUCH MORE to life.

Still...

that doesn’t mean that love can’t help you find yourself.

In fact, love can be very powerful in helping you find who you really are.

Because, as Crazy Ex-Girlfriend reminded me, love doesn’t have to be a person.

It can be a passion.

A dream.

Indeed. We need to realize that we can actually best find ourselves and who we are, by doing what we love.

By LOVING what we do.

You see, when you regularly work on a passion, a dream, on something that you love, you set your soul ON FIRE!

You FEEL yourself COME ALIVE!

So, the best way to find yourself is by doing what you love and loving what you do!

Just as this character did when they decided to focus on making their creative dream happen, rather than focusing on finding the right romantic partner.

And like I did when I started the Promise of Philosophy. For I realized that what I REALLY love.

What makes my soul COME ALIVE is not just doing philosophy but helping people use philosophy to shape their lives for the better.

I ESPECIALLY love using philosophy to help people GAIN CLARITY about their dreams and passions.

Clarity about what they love doing.

AND to help them ACTUALLY BUILD a better life that aligns with these dreams.

So if you’re ready to find yourself by doing what you love and loving what you do, then check out one of my happiness coaching programs.

You see, one of the first things I help my clients do is gain insight and clarity into their own vision of the good life.

So if you want to find yourself, love what you do, and build the life of your dreams, then check it out!
